Apple Store – Yorkshire
Apple Store at Slingsby Heights is a detached property and dates from the 19th century. It was used to store the apples from the acre of old orchard to the south of the property. It also acted as stables during the First World War for cavalry horses from the barracks in the neighbouring village of Hovingham.
The Apple Store now provides spacious accommodation for up to four people with private courtyard and ample parking. Guests have access to the 11 acres of land belonging to Slingsby Heights which include a large kitchen garden, old orchard and croquet lawn.
Holly Cottage – Suffolk
Holly Cottage is a Grade II listed, 17th century mid terrace property situated in the Suffolk village of Huntingfield.
Huntingfield is a quiet village between the market towns of Framlingham and Southwold. There is an excellent pub on the green opposite the cottage which serves good food. You can also collect your supper from the pub on a 'take away' basis to enjoy in the cottage.
The nearby village of Laxfield provides a village shop and two further pubs. You will find a further selection of shops in the attractive market town of Halesworth less than five miles away.
Cider Press Cottage – Warwickshire
Cider Press Cottage is a light, warm and spacious semi-detached property offering accommodation on a single level. Converted from a Cotswold stone barn, it is situated on a quiet no through lane in a conservation area, with scenic walks onto Ilmington Downs starting a few yards from the front door.
Ilmington is an attractive village, criss-crossed by footpaths, and lying in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Two traditional country pubs (including the Howard Arms, well-known locally for its excellent restaurant) are within walking distance of the cottage, in addition to the well-stocked village shop. Places to visit nearby include Chipping Campden (4 miles), Stratford-upon-Avon (8 miles) and Hidcote and Kiftsgate Gardens (2 miles).
Pendleton Cottage – Derbyshire
Pendleton Cottage is a charming, detached one bedroom cottage ideally located on the edge of the Peak District National Park. This delightful, newly renovated property retains its original character, with beams and exposed stonework throughout.
Dogs are welcome at the property and to enjoy the beautiful walks right from the door, the owners have prepared detailed maps and directions for walks around the cottages, so you can find the prettiest footpaths and best views. You are situated in the picturesque village of Alderwasley, in a peaceful and relatively undiscovered area just a few miles from Matlock.
Stella at Nash Point Lighthouse – Glamorgan
Stella is one of two holiday cottages available at the lighthouse which is located on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. There are wonderful safe beaches, many of which have been awarded the coveted blue flag. In particular, there is Ogmore-by-Sea (just over 4 miles away), Barry Island, Southerndown and Porthcawl, which are particularly good for windsurfing.
A short drive away (just over 8 miles) Cowbridge offers a good range of shops with small boutiques, craft and art galleries and excellent restaurants and pubs. Further along the coast is the famous Gower peninsula and walking on the Mumbles.
Laundry Cottage – Dorset
Laundry Cottage is a stunningly pretty, 18th century Grade II listed cottage set in one of Dorset’s best villages, Evershot, right in the heart of Thomas Hardy country. The property has been renovated to a high standard and oozes charm and character.
Just a short walk away you will find yourself in Melbury Park, a beautiful deer park with a stunning Grade I listed Manor house and charming gardens.
