The Castle Hotel

The Castle Hotel – Shropshire

The Castle Hotel is set in a quiet square well away from passing traffic. Close to Powis Castle, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Wales. All bedrooms en-suite, TV, tea and coffee making facilities & Spa Treatments available.

They have a large garden with small wooded area for you to exercise your pet, and are well away from busy roads so you can relax and enjoy your holiday together. There are lots of great walks in the surrounding fields and hills, and maps and walking guides are available in reception.

If your pet has special dietary requirements they will be only too pleased to help.

The Strand House

Relax and soak up the cosy feeling of a home from home, in an historic house with 13 individual and intimate guestrooms, scrummy local food and genuine friendly service. You've earnt a special escape, a little TLC. Take long walks on the beach, or indulge in lazy evenings in a romantic bedroom or bring the kids and soak up an authentic taste of Medieval history in a house over 700 years old.

Strand House has a number of dog-friendly rooms on the ground floor with access to the garden through patio doors, there is the Inglenook in the Tudor house and the Rye and Hastings rooms in Rye Bay Cottage. There are other rooms suitable for small and medium sized dogs so please call if these three rooms appear booked. If you wish to breakfast along with your dog, they lay up tables in the garden in fine weather or can deliver a breakfast to your room for breakfast in bed. The Royal Military Canal offers an ideal walking area and is only 75m from our front gate or you can walk round Winchelsea which has dog bins. Parts of Winchelsea Beach and the Nature Reserve at Rye Harbour are open all year round to dog walking.

The Barn

The Barn – Devon

Dartmoor National Park converted barn. Three cottages (sleeping six, five and two - four), competitive prices, on the western slopes of Dartmoor, Tavistock three miles. Fantastic walking: open moor only ten minutes walk up no through lane.

The Barn can lend maps and advise places to explore. Extra dogs and other pets (including horses) usually accepted. Riding stables nearby and excellent dog friendly pub in the village. They live in the farmhouse and run a smallholding with rare breed animals. See the website for more details.

Beech Hill House B&B

Beech Hill House B&B – Cumbria

Beech Hill House is situated in the South Lakes just eight minutes from the M6 motorway.

Being a truly dog-friendly bed and breakfast they provide a dog bed (if one is needed), a throw for the bed, feeding bowl and a "Goodie" basket with a few essentials and treats in. All bedrooms are spacious, en-suite with king-size beds, and one has a private balcony with table, chairs and gate leading to a private part of the garden.

Also, a dog-friendly village pub serving nice food is just 50 yards along the road.

An attractive and spacious terrace holiday home with spectacular sea views. Arvonia is well situated: two minute walk to sandy beaches, pubs, shops, restaurants, harbour and heritage coastal walks for beautiful walks, birdwatching (red kites etc) and spotting seals and dolphins.

Accommodation: Spacious lounge with seaviews, coal/ wood burner stove, ?at screen TV with freeview & DVD, french windows leading onto sunny patio with steps to garden terraces, Fully equipped kitchen, with separate dining room. Downstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with sea views. Upstairs there is a large family bathroom with separate shower. One spacious bedroom with a king size bed. One snug single room, and one spacious twin room. All bedrooms have wash basins and beautiful seaviews. There is also decking with fantastic panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, with seating area to relax and enjoy a drink! Well behaved dogs can be left unattended for short periods of time.
