Your Dog Magazine contributor and dog trainer Tony Cruse, runs TC Dog Training and another class - The Tuesday Club. Yesterday they donated their 'secret Santa' money towards The Wallace Rescue Kennels, based in Essex.

The Tuesday Club is a group of dog owners who meet weekly and look at different activities to help train their dogs. Secret Santa gifts are usually bought for each other and handed out during their Christmas meal. Until this year!

Instead, The Tuesday Club collected the money usually spent on the gifts and because it is the season of giving, decided to donate a cheque for £150 to The Wallace Kennels. The Rescue Kennels based in Brentwood, Essex relies greatly on volunteers and public donations in order to protect and care for vulnerable, abandoned and unfortunate dogs in the Essex area.

Tony Cruse says: “The Tuesday Club are very close and this year we decided to help another canine related group. Also, I used to volunteer for the Wallace kennels many years ago. The rescue dogs there taught me a great deal and help me set up my career. I now run TC Dog Training, write for Your Dog Magazine, lecture at Writtle College University and am the author of two best-selling dog behaviour books”.
