Set in the heart of Derbyshire’s beautiful Peak District, the Flying Childers Inn has been crowned Rover.com’s Best Pub for Dogs at the 2021 Great British Pub Awards.
Among the traditional country pub’s winning features are a dog shop selling products such as eco-friendly poo bags and dog beer, a grooming spa, special outdoor seats designed for canine visitors, towels to dry off mucky pups, home-made peanut butter treats, and toys to entertain dogs while their owners enjoy a pint.
The pub is popular with dogs and their owners.

The Flying Childers Inn, in Stanton in Peak, between Bakewell and Matlock, was also commended for helping to ease pet parents’ concerns over leaving their dogs home alone, after Rover research revealed 92 per cent of owners forged a stronger bond with their canine companions during lockdown.
