We spent five minutes with TV sports commentator Andrew Cotter’s canine internet sensations, Olive and Mabel.

Q) One day you are snoozing on the sofa, minding your own business, and the next, your faces are all over the internet, TV, and in a book. How are you both adjusting to global fame?

Olive: “It doesn’t seem to come with additional biscuits, so my opinion is that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.”

Q) Which video did you enjoy making the most — and why?

Olive: “The Breakfast one.”

Mabel: “I quite enjoyed the one where I got the bone.”

Q) How has your life changed since the videos launched? Do you now have more friends, toys/treats sent from well-wishers, and interest from male Labradors all over the world?

Mabel: “People try to get photos with us on a walk, which is confusing. Also, I’m busy on a walk trying to eat as much grass as physically possible.”

Q) If your book is ever made into a Hollywood film, who would you like to play yourselves?

Olive: “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.”

Mabel: “The dog who played Bouncer from ‘Neighbours’ — if he’s still going.”

Q) What does a typical day involve for you both?

“Get up before any of our people want us to get up; eat, sleep, walk, repeat.”

Q) Can you give us a sneak preview of any videos, projects, or collaborations currently in the pipeline?

“A dog version of the musical ‘Cats’; working title ‘Not Cats’.”
