Covering 3,800km, the Cairngorms National Park is the largest in Britain. Visitors can enjoy some of the most beautiful and dramatic views in the country, ranging from tranquil lochs to spectacular mountain peaks.

It stretches from Grantown on Spey in the north to the Pass of Drumochter in the south and the town of Ballater in the east. As well as being a refuge for a host of wildlife, the park is also steeped in history reflected by the folk museums, heritage centres and castles of the area.

Thousands of visitors are attracted to the park every year, not just by the sheer beauty of the area but also the wealth of outdoor activities on offer, from walking to skiing.
