Overview

The stunning gardens, themed borders, exotic planting and seasonal displays make a beautiful backdrop to the animals which range from the iconic Rhinos to tiny Leaf-cutter Ants. The collection is home to many endangered species, including Humboldt Penguins, Wolverines, Red Pandas and Asiatic Lions. The Reptile House contains one of the most interesting collections of snakes in the country.

Cotswold Wildlife Park is proud to be the only large zoological collection in the UK to welcome dogs. It has been a dog-friendly attraction since it first opened in 1970 and won the Kennel Club's 'Be Dog Friendly' award for two years running. The Telegraph named the Park as one of Britain's 25 best dog-friendly days out.

As well as the Park's Oak Tree Restaurant and kiosks, visitors, if they wish to, can bring their own picnics and enjoy them on one of the spacious lawns which overlook the enclosures for Rhinos, Zebras and Giraffes.

- There is easy wheelchair and pushchair access to all enclosures, on to the Narrow-Gauge Railway and to the Gift Shop and Restaurant.  We have ensured that any windows in our enclosures are viewable from a wheelchair. There are ramps to access the Giraffe house, Wolverine enclosure and Lake area. We have recently installed a Changing Places toilet near the Gift shop opposite the disabled car parking. These are the only Changing Places facility at a major attraction in Oxfordshire.

“I’ve brought my children here for years. It’s a great way to introduce them to wildlife.”

Bear Grylls OBE, Chief Scout and Adventurer
