Also known as the Hungarian Water Dog, the Hungarian Puli is identified by its corded coat. An ancient herding breed who travelled across the expanse of Central Asia with the Magyars, a tribe of nomadic Huns.

Hungarian Puli character

A wonderful companion breed, the Hungarian Puli is relatively easy to train if you follow a consistent routine, although as a herding breed they do maintain an independent streak. Their temperament is happy and playful but they don't enjoy rough play with children. They will enjoy activities such as agility trials and entering the show ring where they can work in tandem with their master.
