Dogs welcome free of charge on camping and touring pitches. Small cleaning charge per stay in dog friendly accommodation. Spacious hard-standing touring pitches with electric, some serviced, with hedge markers and sturdy dog ring. Dog friendly Wigwam cabins (some with hot tub), en-suite luxury Castle Pods with hot tubs and dog friendly lodge with enclosed private garden. Maximum 2 dogs allowed.

Scenic dog walk on site with great sunsets and enclosed dog exercise field. Animal petting farm, children welcome to join the twice daily feeding. Just 1 mile from Hadrian’s Wall, with a huge variety of dog walks going West towards Walltown Quarry and Birdoswald Roman Fort and East to Steel Rigg, Housesteads and beyond. Great walk down Haltwhistle Burn direct from the site. AD122 Hadrian’s Wall bus stops at the campsite entrance, is dog friendly and provides easy access to all the attractions along the wall between Hexham and Haltwhistle.

Milecastle Inn 10 minutes’ walk which serves great food and real ales. Whilst dogs are not allowed inside the small pub there is a large beer garden with amazing views. Haltwhistle has a larger selection of pubs, or there are several dog friendly pubs within a short drive including The Greenhead Hotel and Twice Brewed Inn which run great stargazing experiences.
