I was shouting at the vets :/
The way they treated those poor animals is disgusting!
And, medivet are idiots!! They have no idea what they are on about, and they need to be sued or something.

Disgusting!!!
I watched for the full hour and I know what you mean Avansa, I was fighting back the tears. The way some of these animals were treated sickened me to my stomach. I'm not an agressive person but the male trainee nurse who hit the stressed sha pei deserves a good beating IMO not a promotion!!
As a multiple pet owner, to think there are unscrupulous vets out there who take advantage of caring and well-meaning owners makes me v.angry. And to think someone with no qualifications or experience could performing surgical procedures on your much loved pet, is incredibly worrying!
This must go on in private practice as well as commercial, but needless to say I won't EVER be taking any of my pets to Medivet!!!

i watched it all too. it's disgusting how they are obvioous just in it for money and don't care about the animals themselves.
even one of the trainee nurses said 'if my cat was being treated like this by someone i would kill them' so why carry on treating the cat that way? if it LOOKS bad it IS bad! i have watched our vet handle our cat who was way feistier than any on the show, and the vet always handled her very gently.
the thing that got me was, at the end medivet claimed that guy who was relieved had caused no damage to the animals. but what about mental/emotional damage? those animals could be affected for the rest of their lives due t the rough handling, did they think about that? specifically that shar pei....to be hit while he was in that state....it's so wrong!

Very good viewing. They should show more programes like that exposing people. Medivet think that because there a big company they can get away with it. I bet they wont be getting very many new clients rushing to them. Maybe they should rename Medivet Mad vet. I felt sorry for Yogis owners having to watch how there much loved pet was treated & as for the trainee who smacked the Shar pei if he done that to Sheba my Mrs would of been using his balls as ear rings. Not getting promoted.

It was sickening to see the cruel treatment of those animals, and for the owners to witness their (mis)treatment.
Had one been our dog Skip,it would have been a race between me & the husband who got to them first!
Feel sorry for all the good vets who are going to be under suspicion though.

Wow, i never even thought about that!...my dog isn't afraid of the vet (although he didn't use to like the anti-slip flooring lol!)...and all the nurses love him to bits and know him by name as soon as i come in!haha!..however it does make anyone nervous and as i am moving house and therefore possibly vets soon i shall be being EXTREMELY cautious about what vet i choose. And i probally wouldn't use a franchise it makes taking any animal to the vet very worrying. The cat and shar-pei thing really stood out as horrendous to me had me holding my mouth and looking away and i can usually watch this sort of thing.
