Wow, I'm sorry but, if you can't be around dogs for "religious reasons" then get a different job!

You can't REFUSE blind people public transport... :| that's just terrible.

This makes me so angry

What would they do if they became blind and needed a guide dog as some form of assistance?

How on earth are blind people supposed to get around without public transport?! It's not like they can drive :|

There is a muslim student who has a guide dog and has been allowed into a mosque with it.

You have to remember that it takes time to overcome centuries of different thinking in a different culture........ and of course education.

How can they say the dogs are unclean. I bet some of there other passengers are even more unclean.

The same way as a lot of people will say gypsies are unclean!

Poor education and prejudice goes across all nationalities, cultures and religions.

Felt sick when I read this,how cruel must someone be to treat blind person like this.Hope someone pukes all over their car or bus.
Should be asked if would turn away dog,if yes, don't employ them.SIMPLES!

They are! S.B. it costs councils £1000s of pounds to clean up the mess they leave when they eventually move on.

I agree with you Avansa. Its obvious if you're going to be a bus driver that you will come across blind people with dog. Discrimination towards the blind if you ask me.

maybe it's just that he's a grumpy bus driver with no conscience! i don't really think it's fair to say its because he's muslim cos im sure many muslims would agree with it. i've seen quite a few white bus drivers be like this so :\ just seems that muslims are the minority of bus drivers so it becomes more obvious if one of them does it :\

Jeez ... why does religon have to cause upsets? It's ridiculous. If they can't accept a guide/assitance dog in OUR country, then ether suffer, get off or leave!!
My dad, and all of his side of the family are muslims. They don't like dogs therefore I am considered the outcast whenever I am around them, because of my affinity.

it was more than one and because they had admitted it was down to religious reasons (and obviously muslims share the same religion) we know that other muslims will think the same way. not ALL of them but a lot of them. it's what they have been brought up to believe.

the point is, though, as Avansa said, you shouldn't get a job somewhere if your religion is going to stop you helping the disabled!!

also, on the whole culture topic. i'm not racist or anything or against people coming to our country, but i do find it a bit annoying SOMETIMES when we're expected to accept every different belief and opinion just because of a culture difference. i mean, they aren't in their own country. what i mean is, from my experiences of going to other countries, no one goes to great lengths to adopt the english culture into certain areas except to make money, or except when other english people have been the ones to set up the english bars or whatever.

i DO love to learn about other cultures. my best friend at school was Indian and i was always fascinated with their gods and all the stories. i'd go to her house for Diwali every year. but i just hope, in becoming so accepting of other cultures in our country, we won't lose some of our own culture in turn....

anyway diverging a bit there lol.

What is it about their belief that they don't like dogs well i've just looked up why... apparantly muhammed didn't like them... so nobody has them unless for guarding hunting etc. You do see a lot with rotties/alsations/akita's :\ apparantly black dogs are evil or even devils to them, poor kizzy lol. But yeah totally agree, if they can't accept our culture and society then they shouldn't claim themselves as british citizens, i don't think if we brought a thousand dogs into their country we'd be accepted for our culture :\ ah well

they are all disable-ist(i don't care if thats not a word)

Yep all of them .... and yes black dogs are regarded as evil .... You should have seen the look of horror on my cousins faces when I walked in with Tilly off lead ....
