A man has died after being struck by a train on a level crossing in Wiltshire while trying to retrieve his dog from the tracks.

but from southampton central...

does it say whether or not the dog was killed/hurt? i couldn't see if it did..

This story makes me think of an incident near me. A woman stopped her car on the hard shoulder of a dual carriageway to help a dog that had been hit by another car. Ironically, the dog survived but the woman was hit by another car and killed outright. Very sad case.....I know you should't but I probably would have done the same thing. Scary

Oh, that's horrible I'm sure I would have done the same too...

(Infact, I did the other day... but that was only on a main road so not quite as dangerous!)
