GUNDOGS: RETRIEVERS 6 Months, 1 Week ago
The Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever, which are the most popular breeds by far in the world today, are both members of the gundog group. As their names suggest, the original purpose of these gundogs was to retrieve shot game, working effectively in a wide range of terrain, and not being afraid to enter water to obtain shot waterfowl.

I agree labs are beautiful, but I do own one so I would say that ! I do like golden retrievers too but they are a bit too hairy !

'and not being afraid to enter water to obtain shot waterfowl.' Phssssstttfff- I know mine's only half lab, but the poodle bit is meant to swim right? I can't even get mine in the water! she looks at me as if to say: "After you...." And 'obtain waterfowl'? She doesn't even fetch!!
