Be sure to greet him by name each day and give a reward each time you say their name and they look at you. You're hoping that the puppy begins to associate hearing their name with good things like treats, walks or just affection and if this connection is made then the rest of the training process becomes much easier. Try to avoid using his name if you're telling him off. "When your puppy looks at you every time begin to introduce random rewards. Instead of rewarding immediately count to five or six and reward if he is still looking at you. Repeat and this time try counting to a different number, such as three or ten, but only reward if your puppy makes eye contact." Charlie Clarricoates.
