The daughter of a famous film dog who starred in 102 Dalmatians has had her own epic litter of 18 puppies!

Buttons, from Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, is the proud mother of a close to record-breaking litter of 18 puppies (the UK record is 19). This huge litter is three-year-old Buttons’ second litter, with her first litter of puppies being 16 strong.

The puppies were delivered by caesarean section on December 23. “It was a big shock,” said owner Nicola Morley. “They are all doing well but we’re only going to keep one of the puppies, it’s a lot of work looking after them all.”
