Dogs Trust Darlington Egg-Factor

Saturday 27th March 2pm at Dogs Trust Darlington, Hill House Farm, Sadberge, Co Durham, DL2 1SL (01325 333 114) - The rehoming centre is holding a dog talent competition instead of their usual Easter Fair. They are asking people to register in advance and on the day they will enter the ring one at a time with their dog, stand on a large cut out egg and get their dog to perform their talent to a panel of judges. There will also be an Egg and Spoon race for children and dogs afterwards.

Put your best foot forward for abandoned animals

The Mayhew Animal Home in London is looking for dog-mad fitness fans to lace up with love and raise some sponsorship for the charity by taking part in the British 10k Run.

The route of the annual Run on Sunday July 11th takes runners past many iconic landmarks in the capital city and is great fun for all involved. It is also the chance to support The Mayhew, who care for high numbers of abandoned and unwanted dogs and also the work of the charity’s Animal Welfare Officers and their community outreach to care for canines.

The Mayhew relies solely on donations to carry out its vital work and taking part in sponsored events is a fantastic way to raise some pennies for the puppies and have fun at the same time!
