Walkies time with PDSA

PDSA WalkiesVeterinary charity the PDSA, is organising a series of sponsored dog walks – PDSA Walkies – to raise much needed funds for pets in need of vets this October.

PDSA organised walks will take place at dog-friendly locations in Belfast, Birmingham, Gateshead, Glasgow, Liverpool and London. Alternatively, animal lovers can organise their own sponsored walks across the UK.

“PDSA is urging dog owners to get their walking shoes on and sign up for Walkies. The initiative forms part of the charity’s biggest ever pet health campaign, Long Live Pets, which aims to promote a healthy life for all pets,” said organiser, Tracey Lyons.

The sponsorship money collected will help PDSA vets and nurses to provide more than 1.8 million free veterinary treatments this year.

You can register for one of the PDSA organised walks or order an ‘organise your own walk’ pack, by visiting www.pdsa.org.uk/walkies
