Canine tribute to Swansea Jack

E-mail

Jack, who reportedly rescued 27 people during the 1930s, is a legend in his native Wales.

As a testament to his heroism more than 200 locals packed into a marquee outside the National Waterfront Museum, In Swansea, to hear a choir of dogs give their own rendition of ‘A song for Jack’.

It is believed that the nickname for Swansea people, ‘Swansea Jacks’ comes from the famous dog.

Richard Higlett led the dog choir with a single ‘ding’ on his triangle, what followed was a deluge of dog noises of all pitches, lengths and volumes.

To hear the results, watch the video below, but don’t have your speakers too loud! video courtesy of thisisswansea.co.uk
