The kennels, where the dogs were discovered, have appalled the RSPCA inspectors who found the dogs. They were covered in filth and dog mess from nearly 100 animals. Regrettably, two dogs were found in such poor health that there was no option but to have them put down.When the dogs were discovered, no staff members were present at the kennels, although the animals had been fed and watered they were in a filthy state. “We are in the process of removing 98 and an investigation is ongoing,” said an RSPCA spokesperson (The Sun). The owner of the kennel, Mary-Ellen Collis, a founder member of the Kennel Club’s Accredited Breeder Scheme, has gone missing. All the dogs have now been taken to be cared for at two kennels near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire and in Nottingham. |
