1641 Greyhounds walk together |

"Every participating group agreed it was a great day, it raised well over £2500 for Greyhounds, lots of new friends were made, more greyhound walking groups are setting up and we know dogs were rehomed as a direct result of the event. And of course the greyhounds showed themselves off as only they could - well mannered and delightful. "Will there be a GBGW 2011? You bet! Bigger than this year? You bet! Visit the GBGW website or follow us on Facebook." |

"For this the very first Great British Greyhound Walk an amazing 44 walks were held all over the country from as far afield as Moray in Scotland, Redruth in Cornwall, Crosby Beach in Liverpool and Woodbridge in Suffolk. A massive total of 1641 Greyhounds and lurchers walked that day bringing greyhound owners together and raising awareness of Greyhounds as pets to the public.
